I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my OSCE practical last Friday and thought it went well overall, for the most part, but wasn't sure of course, and then I took my written exam today, and the good news................I passed them both on the first try and I do not have to take them again or worry with what happens if you fail one of them!!! I was so excited! I still have one very dumb final to take on Wednesday but it's not a test you really have to study much for, so I'm done with classes!! For the rest of my life! The only test I have left is the national boards licensing exam but won't take that til after I graduate, probably around next June. SOOOOOOOOOOO for all of you who care and who read my many complaints throughout the past few months, just wanted to update you and let yall know that I'm done! And I wanted to say thanks to those who kept me in their prayers- there's no way I could have done it without the Lord's help. I also, real briefly, want to bear my testimony on the blessings you receive from NOT studying on Sundays. Ever since I started PT school in May 2006, I did not study on Sundays. I would study up til midnight Saturday night and start again at Midnight Sunday night/Monday morning. ANd my testimony is that I usually did better on tests on Mondays or Tuesdays when I had crammed on Fri and Sat and did no schoolwork on Sundays. My GPA is actually pretty decent, if I may say so, and I know that I was helped today in my written exam, as I did not study yesterday. Yes, I'll admit it was tempting since I had SO much to do in so little time, but instead I watched general conference and hung out with Mark. So yeah I was tempted, but did not give in, of course! I went to the library at midnight Monday morning/Sunday night and studied for 4 hours, went home to sleep for 4 hours, crammed for 4 more hours this morning, and passed. SO I encourage any of yall who are in school- try it out! Try to get your work done on Saturday and leave the Sabbath day free of schoolwork. It's much more relaxing to have a day off and to know that you're keeping the Sabbath day holy, and I promise, you'll be blessed! Even when you may doubt and think there's NO WAY you're going to pass (like how I thought when I saw some of those test questions today), somehow it'll work out- you'll either figure out the answers with the help of the Holy Ghost, or you'll guess right- either way works with me! So that's my spiritual thought of the whole blog.
Thanks again for the prayers!!!! I'm FREEEEE.

Cough cough, sneeze sneeze

That's right, I'm sick. During the last week of cramming for my final comprehensives!! A lot of people in class have been sick, and then Mark was sick, so I caught it from someone (I'm thinking it's Mark). So I've been sneezing and not feeling well all weekend. I'm a little better today. In a little while, I'm going to lay down and sleep for a few hours and try to get rid of this stupid illness. Then I'll be refreshed to study all week long. My practical is THIS FRIDAY at 1:15 -aghhhhhhhhhhhh! I actually feel more confident about the practical, versus the written final. The written test is Monday (in 1 week!!!) from 1-4pm. THEN I WILL CELEBRATE. Me and Jen Byrd are going to Cold Stone to stuff ourselves with ice cream. But alas, we have one more final (a dumb one that doesn't even matter and no one will study for) on Wednesday morning at 10. THENNNNNNNNNNNNN I will be completely done!!! THEN Jen and Mark and I are going to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese!!!!!!! HOORAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
So keep me in your prayers this week- it's almost over.

So many things I'd like/need to do......but school is in the way....

But only in the way for 2 more weeks!! That's right, in 2 weeks and 2 days, I am done with classes FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Here's a list of things that I'd like to do or need to get done that I just don't have time for since I study all day long.....and still get nothing accomplished, it seems. So, here is my list, in no particular order...

1. Clean the house.......like deep clean.
2. Clean out my car, wash the car.
3. Pack for 5 months of going home to good ol' Giles and my New River pals.
4. Start packing up the house for when we move to Tennessee in December.
5. Go to the beach and do nothing but hang out and swim and play and not think about school cuz I'll be done.
6. Eat at California Dreaming.
7. Find a house to rent in Johnson City.
8. Exercise every day.
9. Figure out how to make my blog more fun-looking.

Now here are some things I want to do but have a very slim chance of doing (at least not for awhile):
1. Go to Vermont or Maine in mid-October to see the fall foliage!
2. Go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming right before Christmas when it's snowing.
3. Take a trip to the spa- massage, aromatherapy, etc.
4. Go on a honeymoon to somewhere fun, doesn't have to be exotic, but would be preferred.
5. Get a new car eventually.
6. GRADUATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...................but more importantly, take the boards around late June and actually PASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and be licensed as a physical therapist and never have to worry about tests and studying again.

If you couldn't tell, I'm ready for these next 2 weeks and 2 days to fly by, but then again, I'm glad I have 2 weeks left to cram in. I'll have to do one class every day to get it all in. Then hopefully have a few days left to go back through important classes and memorize everything that's important. Until next time............

Sick of school, etc.

I've had a really stressful week of studying for comprehensives, not feeling well, being tired, etc. We have 2 weeks til the big practical, and then 2 days after that, we have our written examination. I can barely take it anymore and I'm thissssss close to giving up and not studying and just hoping that I pass the tests when I take them, and hope I remember stuff I've learned the past 2.5 years. Although I'm very tempted to quit, I know that I have to do all I can do and then Heavenly Father will take care of the rest. So I'm hanging in there, but by a very thin thread. So please pray that I survive the next few weeks!!!!!

Bored of studying!!!

I decided I'd write a post today because I would just like to express how SICK I AM OF STUDYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today alone, here is my schedule: just got home from lab and a class. Lunch. Studying the ankle (a lot), reviewing hip and knee notes, studying modalities for a few hours, swimming, more reviewing of the upper extremity tonight. This puts me at going to bed around 2 I would think.
For anyone who is unaware, I am in my last year of physical therapy school and in my LAST semester (down to my last 4 weeks of class) EVER. On Oct. 3rd, we have our big comprehensive practical. Then on Oct. 6th, we have our big comprehensive written exam. We also have one smaller final on the 8th, but the main and only concerns are the big comps. We have to stick around in SC til Oct 10th ( I guess to make sure we all passed, and please pray that I do!!!), then we are FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I will then be moving back to Giles to do a rotation in Princeton, WV and another one in January in Blacksburg, hooray! My last one in the spring is still to be determined, but I think will be in Johnson City, TN, where Mark will be in school.

Anyway, that is the summary of why I am sick of studying. My schedule today is like any other day for the past month. It's just study study study lab lab lab practice cram eat sleep study study study swim lab church study study soccer, etc etc etc. But the good news is that in exactly 27 days from today, I will be done with school forever.........not including the boards test next summer. But I'm not worried bout that for now.

Until next time, I'll be studying.

My sleeping schedule is all messed up.

I've been so busy studying hardcore all day and night that I've been tired around mid-afternoon or early evening and I take an hour or two nap, and then I'm up til the wee hours of the morning. Thus, here I am, done with studying for the weekend since it's now Sunday, but I'm not tired and I'm just trying to figure out this blog thing. I'm watching "Fresh Prince" and hanging out. Maybe I'll go to bed one day. I've also been looking at other people's blogs- I'll look at a friend's of a friend's of a friend's. People I have never met and will never ever meet, but it's fun to see different blogs. Everyone spends a LOTTTTTTT of time updating their blogs. That's crazy. I don't know if I'll ever get to that point. I may update about twice a month if that. We shall see.
Night for now.

Last trip to the dog park with Ana-Maria, Sammy, and Bear

Today is a happy but very sad day. Today is the last day that me, Ana-Maria, Bear, and Sammy will all get to go to the dog park together. Sammy is moving up to Greensboro with Paul (Ana-Maria's boyfriend) this weekend and then our clinicals start in a month and we will be in separate places. Bear and Sammy are the best dog friends ever and they love each other and have so much fun together. And I've had a TON of fun at the dog park with the dogs and Ana-Maria, as well, who is such a great friend and it's just such a sad day!
So we are off to the park. We are both taking our cameras and will probably both cry. In the future, we'll have to plan some dog get-togethers. Johnson City and Greensboro aren't THAT far apart!!!
:) but :(

I have decided to make a blog!!!

Everyone else has a blog- why can't I? Well, I can and I will! I don't know how often I'll update it but I'm guessing I'll probably get addicted like I did to facebook. At least now I can write on other blog people's pages so that's the highlight of getting a blog. And I hope I get lots and lots of comments on my blog, too.......we'll see.
